Human Growth & Development 1a: Introduction; 1b: Journey to Adulthood

Semester A: Explore the developmental challenges of adulthood—relationships, career, and family—and expand your knowledge base through the lifespan. Since your work life begins during this period, you’ll create a customized portfolio, hone your communication and problem-solving skills, and see if you have what it takes to work in social services.

Semester B: In this course, you’ll take a deep dive into the physical, cognitive, social, andemotional growth across a child’s lifespan. You’ll learn about key milestones, apply theoreticalframeworks that us give insight into ourselves, health and safety for ages and stages, strategiesto optimize growth and development, and more!
